- Has a deep understanding of teaching and learning, particularly in KS2
- Has a proven track record of leading and improving standards
- Is forward thinking and adaptable
- Has a passion for inclusive practice to improve outcomes for all pupils
- Is a resilient individual and a positive role model for both staff and pupils
- Is supportive and committed to mentoring and coaching our staff team

Oakwood is a popular, Ofsted outstanding, 1.5 form entry primary school in a leafy, residential area of St Albans. We have beautiful, spacious grounds with well-equipped outdoor learning areas, garden and sports facilities, to enable children to really benefit from our outdoor space.
We are a successful school with a friendly, dedicated and talented staff team, ably supported by experienced governors and an active PTA.
