What skills and experience we're looking for
Seymour Primary is a successful Crawley primary school and currently has 490 children on roll. Seymour is part of The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT), the largest multi-academy trust in the south and east of England who pride themselves on being an employer of choice, Being part of #oneTKATfamily is integral to our ambition and success. Seymour Primary has a mixture of 2 and 3 classes per year group and achieved an Ofsted rating of “GOOD” in December 2018. The school is led and managed by 2 Co-Headteachers and has a culture of continuous improvement for all. Their expertise in teaching and learning and standards in core subjects is recognised across TKAT. Therefore, the school is frequented by visitors who want to see dynamic and effective teaching and learning in action. The school uses Talk for Writing, Read Write Inc and the Mathematics Mastery Programme. This ensures all children have the strongest foundations in Reading, Writing and Maths. The key priorities for the schools development have been embedding our wider curriculum and developing subject leadership; ensuring there is equity for all children; and creating a cohesive English curriculum.Seymour Primary is committed to improving the life chances of every child striving to remove barriers created by social inequality and have a dedicated programme of support for disadvantaged children.
