What skills and experience we're looking for

Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (DDAT) and the Local Academy Committee of St Peter’s CofE Junior School are seeking an exceptional class teacher with successful leadership experience. The Deputy Headteacher will have a small teaching commitment and act as the school’s SENCO. You will work closely with the Headteacher to ensure that excellence and high standards are attained in all areas.

This is a pivotal role in the school’s structure; a role where you will help to shape the future with drive and ambition, building on the foundations that have been laid.

We are looking for a pupil focused teacher/leader who will:

  • Have a passion for teaching and learning;
  • Promote high expectations, both for themselves and pupils;
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and innovate teaching and learning across the school;
  • Strongly promote the Christian values ensuring they are at the core of all of the school’s work;
  • Be visible to the school community;
  • Be consistent;
