What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Deputy Head Teacher who:

  • Has vision, drive and energy to work on their own initiative or as part of our team.
  • Is a positive role model and an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Has the experience to lead English or maths through school.
  • Has experience in whole school leadership and an understanding of successful and sustainable school improvement.
  • Is flexible and willing to respond to new challenges
  • Has high expectations and believes that every child can achieve.
  • Wants to be proactive in supporting the families in our local community.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Will act as a strong ‘critical friend’ to the Head Teacher.
  • Is committed to professional development for themselves and others.
