We are seeking a leader with vision and passion to join our senior leadership team, to contribute to the development of our outstanding school community in its next phase.

This opportunity arises due to the restructuring of the senior leadership team, following the appointment of a new headteacher.

The Weald’s commitment to providing high quality education for all its students, irrespective of their ability, means it enjoys an excellent reputation resulting in oversubscription. Equally, the exceptional team of specialist teaching and support staff are well respected for how they work alongside students in this vibrant community. We, therefore, want to appoint a person who shares this energy and ambition and is determined to ensure students continue to be at the heart of all we do and who, through strong creative leadership, motivates others to champion further school improvement.

The Weald is located on a well-resourced and attractive site in the bustling village of Billingshurst, West Sussex. With excellent links to Brighton and London and in easy reach of Horsham and Guildford, the area offers families a wonderful combination of country, coastal and cultural experiences.

We welcome applications from strategic and collaborative leaders with proven success securing outstanding outcomes in a truly comprehensive community.

Candidates are encouraged to visit the school and this can be arranged by contacting Yvonne Clements, PA to the Headteacher. Please email yclements@theweald.org.uk to sign up for one of our tours on either Wednesday 31 March or Tuesday 20 April at 1.30 pm.

Applications should be made by downloading and completing our application form and requirements and emailing it to yclements@theweald.org.uk

The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 23 April 2021.
Interviews will be held w/b Monday 3 May 2021.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
