• the ability to engage and support students through Quality First Teaching

• an enthusiasm and deep knowledge of how to support a range of SEND students

• A commitment to help all young people and staff to achieve their best is expected of all staff.

What the school offers its staff

The Stonehenge School is proud to offer a wide range of high-quality teacher training opportunities for those looking to begin a rewarding career in education.

We work closely with Southampton University, welcoming trainees across a broad range of subjects each year. Our long-standing partnership provides trainees with a strong foundation in evidence-informed practice, supported by our experienced staff and vibrant school community. We can often accept trainees from other providers.

This year, we have been delighted to expand our training pathways through a collaboration with the Oxford and Berkshire SCITT, offering school-based training placements that immerse trainees fully in classroom life from day one.

In addition, we are working with United Learning to offer salaried teacher training routes, providing an excellent option for those wishing to train while earning a wage.

Across all routes, we offer placements in a wide range of subject areas, supported by skilled mentors and a comprehensive professional development programme.

If you are interested in training to teach with us, or are a provider, please get in touch via admin@stonehenge.wilts.sch.uk . We would be very happy to discuss the opportunities available.
