Design & Technology Technician job summary

Assisting with preparation of materials and equipment for classes

Assisting teachers and students during lessons in the execution of practical work

Checking machinery weekly, service and special clean as necessary in all materials areas

Supplying materials and equipment to pupils

Assisting with organisation of materials and classrooms

Maintaining and repairing all tools in main rooms and store rooms

Assisting with preparation and creation of teaching aids

Assisting with Stock control

To be familiar with all relevant health and safety data, and to implement requirements of the Department Health and Safety policy, as appropriate and report any hazards to the appropriate member of staff as per the Health and Safety at work act 1974

Assisting with displays to help maintain an eAective learning environment

Any other duties as may reasonably be required of you by your Line Manager or the Headteacher

To support the implementation of strategies designed to close attainment gaps and secure strong progress for all groups of students.
