What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate DT Technician? Are you looking to work in a dynamic and supportive department?
As a result of a recent expansion, we are looking for a DT Technician starting in September. This role will be based in the brand new campus at Sevenoaks.
This role will support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum within multimedia workshops, including wood, metal and plastics, CAD CAM and traditional making. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance and provision of the classrooms and resources, with a view to supporting safe, effective and efficient teaching and learning. They will have the technical competence required for preparing and ordering of materials as well as maintaining machines and equipment. The person will support and guide students in realising the practicalities of their final design, as part of their GCSE and A-Level projects. They will have previous experience working with children, have strong organisational skills and have the ability work as part of a team as well as independently.
