Designated Safeguarding Lead & Attendance Co-Ordinator job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised professional to take on the dual role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Attendance Coordinator. This pivotal position ensures the safety, wellbeing, and consistent attendance of all pupils, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to uphold safeguarding protocols and promote a culture of care and accountability.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead on all safeguarding matters, maintaining robust procedures and providing expert guidance to staff.

  • Monitor and improve pupil attendance, implementing strategies to reduce absence and support engagement.

  • Be confident in managing sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
