You are:
- Passionate about safeguarding and committed to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An experienced safeguarding professional with excellent knowledge of statutory safeguarding guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- A confident and compassionate leader, able to build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff and external agencies.
- An excellent communicator with outstanding organisational, decision-making and leadership skills.
- Resilient, proactive and committed to supporting the Catholic ethos and values of our school.
You will:
- Lead safeguarding and child protection across the school as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Lead the school's attendance strategy, working to improve attendance and reduce persistent absence.
- Coordinate the school's mental health and wellbeing provision, ensuring pupils receive the support they need.
- Work collaboratively with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to safeguard vulnerable children and secure positive outcomes.
- Provide strategic leadership as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the continued development and success of the school.
- Lead and develop safeguarding, attendance and pastoral staff whilst ensuring statutory compliance and best practice across the school.
