Based at Trust Headquarters, Stanley, County Durham with travel across the Trust’s schools

Connect Multi Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional and highly credible specialist teacher (ideally in History or Geography) to join our school improvement team as Director of Humanities.

This is a significant Trust-wide role for an accomplished leader with the expertise, ambition and influence to shape Humanities education across our schools.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Headteachers and Heads of Department, you will drive improvement across History and Geography, strengthen curriculum leadership and ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning and student outcomes.

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong record of examination success, curriculum leadership and developing others. You will use evidence, data and professional judgement to evaluate performance, identify priorities and provide the right balance of support and challenge.

This opportunity would suit an established middle leader who is ready to influence strategy and practice beyond a single school.
