Director of Learning for Creative and Expressive Arts

To be paid on Leadership Scale (SCP to be determined by experience of candidate)

Opportunity for the right candidate to sit on SLT or to receive the development to then sit upon SLT

For September 2024, we are seeking to appoint a Director of Learning for Creative and Expressive Arts who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students in this curriculum area. As Director of Learning you will lead a range of departments to ensure the highest possible outcomes for our students. We are seeking a Fine Art specialist who will oversee the teaching and learning of the full range of creative and expressive arts subjects - Art, Photography, Textiles, Design & Technology, Food & Nutrition, Drama and Music.

Our team achieves excellent attainment and progress and a large proportion of students choose to continue the subject at A Level and beyond. The courses we are currently delivering include;

  • AQA GCSE Art & Design- Fine Art, Textiles and Photography
  • AQA A Level Art & Design- Fine Art, Textiles and Photography
  • Edexcel Level 4 Btec Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media Studies
  • AQA GCSE Design & Technology
  • AQA A Level Design & Technology- Product Design
  • OCR GCSE Food and Nutrition
  • AQA GCSE Drama
  • AQA A Level Theatre Studies
  • Eduqas GCSE Music
  • Edexcel A Level Music
