Are you a strategic operational leader ready to make a real impact?

OAK Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to join our central senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding services across our schools.

This is a newly created strategic leadership position building on our established operational foundations and reflecting our commitment to operational excellence as we develop and grow as a trust.

About the Role
This is a strategically important role which combines operational leadership with strategic oversight and operational engagement across our schools.

The Director of Operations will lead and develop our estates team and will therefore be an experienced estates professional who combines technical expertise with strong, leadership and communication skills.

You will be part of our central team, working closely with site teams to deliver a high-quality responsive estates service, ensuring all health & safety legislation and statutory requirements are met. You will also work closely with school leaders, providing professional operational advice and driving change and improvement initiatives. Managing multiple premises budgets to prioritise and direct funds on a needs-based basis, whilst ensuring value for money and achieving economies of scale.

About you

You will work at both strategic and operational levels, shaping trust wide systems while remaining visible and engaged with site teams and day-to-day delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the trust has the operational capacity, systems and infrastructure necessary to support future growth.

Has proven experience leading, developing and performance-managing teams, is highly organised, resilient and solutions focused and can operate strategically whilst remaining practically engaged.

Builds strong professional relationships and works collaboratively with school leaders and contractors.
