What skills and experience we're looking for

Northern Education Trust is looking to recruit a passionate, committed leader and outstanding teacher to take on the role of Director of Primary learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous improvement and development of our high-quality curriculum across 13 primary academies and lead on mathematics across the trust. You will report directly to the executive team and will be instrumental in shaping and driving Northern Education Trusts strategy for curriculum alongside a team of directors and academy leaders. Your leadership will ensure that every student, regardless of their background or learning needs has the opportunity to progress and reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum.

Championing high-quality, research-based teaching practices, you will ensure all leaders and teachers are equipped to teach all students to a high standard in all areas of the curriculum and that students most in need of support receive an appropriate curriculum and preventative additional learning support, and opportunities to be successful.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful you will need to have a demonstrable track record of successful curriculum development at school level, be an excellent teacher with dynamic leadership.

You will have experience in developing and implementing innovative curriculum models, including project-based learning utilising a strong understanding of the needs of students with EHCPs, SEMH requirements, and those facing barriers to learning.
