Are you looking for a new opportunity to work in a school that nurtures and believes in the infinite worth of every child?
Are you looking for a role where you can make real change and contribute to the successes of your colleagues?
Then we want to hear from you!
We are Isham Church of England Primary School; a school which has been a feature of the parish of Isham since 1840, and an academy, which is part of the wider family of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET).
Isham has always embraced the ‘whole’ child, ensuring academic rigour is set within a wider theological and educational context. We understand that the Arts, Sport and Faith together with good pastoral, spiritual & mental health support drive standards far more rapidly than any diet restricted to English & Maths and, thus, these feature heavily in our school.
We also acknowledge that mental health, resilience and good pastoral support is critical in supporting the staff team to pro-actively manage all challenges that they face, in ensuring our children leave us being the best they can be & well prepared for the next phase of their journey. Therefore, we are really excited to recruit for a brand-new Teaching Assistant, who shares in our vision, to join our team and contribute to the successes of our school.
This unique position also offers the opportunity to cover the class teacher for 1.25 hrs every week – if you have a particular subject strength or an interest in moving into teaching in the future then this could be the perfect role for you!
To join Isham Primary, is to become part of a close-knit team, that work hard together, to provide the best education and opportunities for our children.
Isham CE Primary is a proud member of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust and has been since 2017. We are a family of 36 schools across the Peterborough Diocese, and these strong links make special contribution to our children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and learning. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing finances and other central services for the academies within the Trust.
We are looking to appoint someone who:
Is enthusiastic, approachable, and friendly
Ensures all children feel safe, happy, and able to learn
Has an understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children
Is able to deliver high quality first teaching
Is confident in using a range of behaviour management strategies
Has the ability to work effectively, flexibly, and independently and above all is a committed team member
We can offer you:
A fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a supportive trust who champions development
Supportive, motivated and interested staff, governors and parents
Happy, caring and motivated children
A positive Christian ethos
