We're looking for one or more hardworking, skilled Duty Theatre Technicians to join our team. Successful candidates will have technical skills and experience, a can-do attitude and be a good problem-solver. Strong people and teamwork skills are essential, as well as a hands-on approach and passion for all types of live theatre events.
Working alongside the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality productions by supporting visiting production companies, hirers, community groups, and academy staff and students. You will also contribute to a safe, professional and creative environment, ensuring all technical and health & safety standards are met at all times.

About you:
You will have:
- Experience working in a theatre or performing arts venue in a technical role
- Strong knowledge of stage lighting and sound systems
- Experience operating technical equipment across a range of productions (e.g. theatre, music, dance, comedy)
- Good IT and AV skills
- Knowledge of safe working practices within a theatre or similar environment
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with others
You will also demonstrate:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- A passion for theatre and supporting creative productions
- Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
- A commitment to inclusion, diversity, and safeguarding
- A willingness to undertake training, including first aid if required
