What skills and experience we're looking for
Experience and knowledge
- Experience working with children aged 2–5
- Experience planning, delivering, observing, assessing and tracking children’s development
- Experience working with parents and families
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
- Understanding of inclusion, safeguarding and responsive care
Skills and abilities
- Ability to support and develop children’s learning across all areas of the EYFS
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, parents and colleagues
- Ability to plan, assess and create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills
Desirable experience and skills
- Experience working in a nursery school or school-based setting
- Knowledge of early identification of SEND
- Training in SEN, inclusion or trauma-informed practice
- Ability to contribute to whole-setting development
