This is a very exciting time for Archbishop Wake Nursery!
Since becoming part of Archbishop Wake CE Primary School's provision in September 2025, we are looking to grow our already successful nursery provision for children aged 0-4.
The setting is a thriving, forward-thinking and caring environment which is dedicated to enabling the best start in life for all children.
We are looking to expand and grow our provision, and we need dedicated, ambitious and caring staff to join our friendly team in the next phase of our journey.
Being part of the school provision, you will benefit from being well supported, having access to excellent, bespoke professional development and being supported through working within a much larger organisation (Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust - DSAT).
This role will provide you with many opportunities to learn new skills, solve problems and adapt to different situations. Every day is different and exciting - you can get creative, messy and encourage the children to explore the world through play.
You can make a real difference in children's lives by providing them with a safe, supportive, and fun environment where they are eager to ‘have a go’ and try new things.
About you:
We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about working with children, fun, calm and supportive. You'll be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to use your initiative. We use technology to communicate with each other and our families, and you will be confident in using a computer. Support will be available for specific programmes we use.
The successful applicant will require a minimum Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare qualification. Any Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Childcare or Food Hygiene qualifications, would also be an advantage. If these additional qualifications are not already held, the successful candidate will be required to complete the necessary training. This training would take place outside of normal working hours, and all associated training time would be fully paid.
You will also be working with a team of other professionals who share your passion and vision for childcare.
Applicants should be patient, love working with children, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to use their initiative.
You will be well organised, needing to record observations, sharing information with parents and carers to support learning at home, always seeking advice and guidance from your senior and line manager when needed.
We want our staff to thrive so we offer an extensive range of wellness services and professional learning opportunities to support growth and development. Please visit our website for further details: Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust - Wellness
We value the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from all. If you are interested in this position and would like to have a more detailed conversation before making the decision to apply for the post, please give us a call and we will be happy to help you with as much detail as possible to support this process.
When you have enough information to make your decision to apply, please complete all sections of the application form. CVs will not be accepted.
All applicants will be notified of the shortlisting decisions by email. References for shortlisted candidates will be requested before interviews.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All applicants will be subject to a number of checks including the Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
