Early Years Practitioner job summary
At Dunbury CE Primary Academy, we are delighted to be opening a brand-new preschool class in the most spacious, peaceful, village school-based setting. Our nursery takes pupils from 2 years, 9 months old. Pre-school children will have the advantage of integrating with Reception children at the Early Years Base as well as many opportunities for a bespoke curriculum suited to their own stage of development.
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and confident Level 3 qualified Early Years practitioner to begin our journey with us! You must be someone who can support children to thrive in our nurturing school setting, where high expectations and our strong school vision of flying high together runs deep. You must be ambitious, enthusiastic and have a clear vision for excellence in childcare.
Part of your role will be to run wraparound care– either before school or after school (or both). The hours would be either 7.30 am - 3.15pm, Monday - Friday (7 hours 45 mins daily, minus 30 mins lunch) or 9am - 5.15pm Monday - Friday (8 hours 15 mins, minus 30 mins lunch), term time only,
If you are able to demonstrate the following, we would welcome your application;
- Level 3 qualified in Early Years
- Able to collaborate with the Early Years Lead to plan, prepare and resource engaging and stimulating curriculum opportunities which meet the needs of all children
- Proven excellence in keeping children safe
- Able to inspire our children with enthusiasm and a love of learning
- Have a sound knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years curriculum
- Able to promote the characteristics of effective learning and link them to the school’s own curriculum for learning behaviours
- Can create a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn
- High standards of communication with parents and carers to support their children
- Enable children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills
- Monitor progress to enable planning
