Early Years Practitioner job summary
Early Years practitioners required at Polden Bower Special school due to the continued growth of our school. Permanent contracts with a start date September 2024 or sooner if possible.
32.5 hours per week 39 Weeks per year. (Term time plus INSET days) Term time hours of work: Monday 08.45 am – 4.45 pm Tuesday - Friday 08.45 am to 3.30 pm.
Grade 14 & 15 Dependent on experience. £17,102-£17,971 per annum.
Polden Bower, is a 220 place special school and has the specialist resources needed to meet the needs of our students. state-of-the-art facilities for all the children and young people, this includes a warm water pool for physiotherapy; a sports hall; a sensory room; and fully accessible classrooms with the latest teaching technology. This is a very exciting time to be joining a growing Federation. We are working in partnership with The Bridge School which is the PRU within Bridgwater.
Polden Bower School has a small nurturing Early Years centre where children in Reception and Key Stage 1 play and learn together. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and nurturing practitioners who have a caring personality. We are looking for practitioners who are able to nurture positive relationships with children, ensuring their emotional well-being and promoting their confidence and self-esteem.

We are looking for practitioners who are:
- Practical and caring
- Enjoy supporting young children to play and develop
- Passionate about supporting young children with SEND
- Flexible, dynamic, positive and caring
- Level 3 qualified in relevant qualification as desirable
- Experience and knowledge of the Birth to 5 Matters
