What skills and experience we're looking for
Stars Trust is looking for a highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at Starfish Nursery, based at Stanley Green Infant Academy.

- Genuinely love working with young children
- Have a passion for supporting play in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Have a good understanding of EYFS curriculum and Birth to Five guidance
- Have excellent communication skills
- Think creatively
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Have experience of supporting children with SEND effectively
- Will take a proactive role in the wider life of the nursery and school
- Are team players
- Have the desire to progress and learn
- Hold a relevant childcare qualification (level 2 diploma in Early Years or equivalent)
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Excellent knowledge of child development and EYFS
- Experience of working with children with SEN
- Initiative, enthusiasm and a commitment to making a difference
- Excellent communication skills and confidence with ICT
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Willingness to complete a 2-day paediatric first aid course, should you not already hold the qualification

This is a temporary fixed term position, initially until 31st August 2025, with potential to become permanent. We recognise how important our staff are to the success of our nursery and offer professional development and opportunities for career progression within Stars Trust.
