Early Years SEND Specialist Teacher - Permanent contract from September 2022 job summary
We are looking for a talented EYFS teacher (with a minimum of four years teaching experience) to join our amazing school to be part of the exciting next step in our journey towards excellence.
If you are an inspiring teacher who wishes to train as our EYFS SENCO please get in touch. We will provide EYFS SEND award training for the successful candidate. Release time will be given to fulfil the SEND part of this role and you will work in collaboration with the current school SENCo. The role will includes leading the SEND provision in our Early Years setting and as the children move into year one.
You will have a real desire to ensure that every child learns, thrives and achieves their individual potential, regardless of any barriers to learning and development.

Epsom Downs is a diverse and vibrant Primary School & Children’s Centre set on the edge of the famous Epsom Downs racecourse. This role is within our early years, the Rainbow Unit, which comprises of our Nursery and Reception classes. This purpose-built unit provides a welcoming and caring environment that gives an excellent introduction to school life. The unit is well resourced and provides a multitude of exciting opportunities for children to develop their learning both indoors and out.
Following our last successful Ofsted inspection, the inspectors deemed Epsom Downs Primary School and Children’s Centre as a good school with outstanding features and we are now looking at building on our strengths.
Within our EYFS classroom and outdoor learning space, you will develop an outstanding provision that secures strong foundations in all aspects of curricular and holistic development for our youngest children. You will actively remove barriers and secure strategies that ensure the children in EYFS thrive.
