Educational Support Assistant - Temporary job summary

This is a temporary, full-time role supporting children aged 4 to 11 years across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality learning support, helping all children to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates patience, flexibility and enthusiasm.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and can use their own initiative when required.
  • Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Support teaching and learning within the classroom and through small-group interventions.
  • Work with individual pupils and groups to reinforce learning and promote progress.
  • Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom environments.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold our values and high expectations.
