EHCP Co-ordinator, Consultations & Admin Officer job summary
EHCP Co-ordinator, Consultations and Administration Officer
Are you a highly organised, forward-thinking administrator who thrives on improving systems, managing complex processes and making a meaningful difference to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities?
We are seeking an exceptional EHCP Co-ordinator, Consultations and Administration Officer to join our dedicated team at our all-age special school. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, proactive and highly organised professional who combines outstanding administrative expertise with a passion for developing efficient systems, streamlining processes and delivering exceptional organisational support.
Whilst a key focus of the role is the coordination of EHCPs, Annual Reviews, Local Authority consultations and admissions processes, we are looking for someone who can bring strong administrative leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that information is managed effectively, statutory requirements are met, deadlines are achieved and administrative processes run smoothly across the school.
As a key member of the administration team, you will work closely with the Assistant Headteacher and Operations Manager to coordinate statutory SEND processes, manage admissions and consultation activity, maintain accurate records and provide high-quality administrative support. We are seeking an individual who is confident reviewing existing systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing more effective ways of working that enhance efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
Alongside these responsibilities, you will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the school office, including responding to telephone and email enquiries, welcoming visitors, maintaining records and providing administrative support to staff, families and external professionals. A flexible, positive and collaborative approach is therefore essential.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional with exceptional organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment while remaining calm. You will be a proactive problem-solver, an effective communicator and someone who takes pride in delivering a professional, responsive and efficient administrative service.
If you are an innovative and enthusiastic administrator who enjoys improving processes, creating effective systems and uses technology where it adds value but overall makes a positive contribution to a thriving special school community, then we would love to hear from you.
