Engagement Worker job summary
What we’re Looking For:
We are seeking a compassionate and organised professional to support pupils accessing online learning from home, encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive routines. The role includes mentoring pupils, providing pastoral and SEN support, and helping reintegration into education. You will work with staff to monitor progress, adapt learning plans, and provide feedback. Strong communication with families and agencies is essential, alongside a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and school values.
The ideal candidate will have:
The ideal candidate will need to have necessary qualifications with experience working with children and pupils with additional needs. Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills, the ability to build positive relationships, work independently and as part of a team. Understand safeguarding, child development, barriers to learning, relevant legislation, and factors affecting attendance, behavior, and social inclusion.
Location:
This is based at Saffron Valley Collegiate KS4 North site, 17 Sylvan Road, South Norwood, London SE19 2RU. Please note that all SVC staff can be deployed across the collegiate to meet the needs of our pupils.
