A positive and proactive classroom practitioner with a clear sense of ‘what good learning looks like’

Excellent subject knowledge and a belief that all teachers are lifelong learners

Good organisational and motivational skills to support pupils of all abilities and needs

What We have to Offer:

A very visible and approachable senior leadership team and an enthusiastic and committed team of teachers and support staff.

Centralised behaviour system and commitment to disruption-free learning, which enables teachers to focus on delivering excellent teaching for students every day

Real opportunities for career progression: our culture is very much to ‘promote from within’.

One day a year ‘off timetable’ provided in the summer term for subject teachers who mark for exam boards.

Centralised curriculum content so that staff are able to adapt excellent resources for their students and their learning needs

A coaching model for improving teaching which is supportive and effective

Very flexible child-care arrangements - we are a very family friendly academy and really do understand how hard it can be juggling family life and work at times.

A directed time schedule that is below the 1265, with a commitment to workload reduction and staff wellbeing. Colleagues benefit from discounted gym membership prices at WVA.

No formally graded lesson observations – the emphasis is on coaching and sharing practice.

A strong support network both within the school and across Ambitions Academies Trust.

All staff are part of a professional learning community in which evidence-informed CPD is designed to meet individual needs.

Strong potential for career progression.

A culture that respects work-life balance and an ongoing commitment to wellbeing with a dedicated Wellbeing Champion.

An Employee Assistance Programme including in the moment support and counselling sessions with an external provider.

AAT Staff benefits include free eye testing for DSE users through Specsavers, free will writing through Dunham McCarthy Solicitors and reduced price corporate gym membership through BH Live.

A competitive pension through Teachers’ Pensions or The Local Government Pension Scheme for support staff.
