The Role

The Denbigh Alliance is currently seeking an Estates Manager to join our team of 6 schools (4 primary schools and 2 secondary schools). The role of the Estates Manager involves providing strategic leadership for the Trust’s estates and Health and Safety function, with a key focus on ensuring compliance, managing procurement and suppliers, and setting robust policies.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing effective estates policies and Health & Safety strategies across the Trust
  • Leading on Health & Safety compliance, ensuring safe environments for our school’s communities by addressing risks and managing safety protocols
  • Overseeing procurement processes and supplier management to secure value and quality for the Trust’s needs
  • Monitoring and ensuring that all school buildings meet compliance standards
  • Supporting and empowering the school site teams to consistently deliver high standards of service and upkeep across all facilities

The successful candidate will have extensive Health & Safety knowledge, supported by a recognised qualification (e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH) and previous experience in commercial building compliance. Proven skills in strategic planning, contract management and adherence to compliance standards are essential. A full driving license is also essential for this role, as it requires regular travel across all of our Trust schools.
