Job Title: Evening Receptionist
Required: September 2026
Salary: from £8,621 per annum, pro rata to full time equivalent of £24,978 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 16:30-19:30, term time only
Swindon Academy is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Evening Receptionist. In this exciting role, the successful candidate will provide an outstanding front of house and customer service to all stakeholders of the Academy whilst ensuring the safety of all staff and students.
This is an interesting and wide-ranging role, which will be suited to an adaptable and detail-oriented individual. Candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be flexible to change and be able to manage a diverse, but interesting and enjoyable workload. The successful candidates will be people-focused, have a positive outlook and be able to build strong relationships.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be educated to a good standard and have a minimum of good GCSE level
- Have relevant administrative and customer facing experience
- Have experience of using data/ information systems, spreadsheets and word processing
- Have experience of day to day use of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel)
- Have experience of working with young people (age 11 to 16) or within schools, working with students and parents
- Have experience of working successfully as part of a team which plans workload and has to respond to situations which arise
- Have ability to use initiative and problem solve
- Ability to relate well to both children and adults; able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, their families, colleagues and other professionals
- Demonstrate tact and sensitivity where appropriate
- Have excellent customer service skills; ability to relate well to parents and prospective pupils
