Exam Invigilator job summary

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more

Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

We are looking for reliable and committed individuals to join our team of Casual Exam Invigilators. As our academy continues to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and welcoming school community. Having recently been rated Ofsted Good, it is an exciting time to join us!

The key purpose of the role is to work as part of a team of invigilators supervising and supporting students undertaking examinations in accordance with legal requirements and academy policy.

Duties will include:

  • The preparation of rooms prior to the start of exams
  • The distribution and collection of examination scripts
  • Provision of reading support to students during examinations
  • Provision of written support to students, using clear and accurate handwriting
There are many occasions throughout the year when assessments and mock examinations take place in the academy so hours worked will be variable and on a demand basis, so flexibility and reliability is essential.

Knowledge of the school examinations process would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided to successful candidates.

Please see the attached job description for full details of the role.
