Salary: Grade 10 Pay Point 23-26 (£35,451 - £39,165)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Full-Time, 52 weeks per year and appointed on a permanent basis

Working Pattern:

The breakdown of these hours by mutual agreement with the CEO and as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role. The role will require attending meetings with the CEO and will require a flexible approach to working. Time off in lieu will be given in accordance with current policy.

Location: Onsite at Discovery Offices at NSPCC, LE4 1EZ and Parkland Primary School.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing their diary, travel arrangements, correspondence, meetings, and events. You will act as a liaison between the ELT and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. You will also have the opportunity to work on strategic projects and initiatives that contribute to the vision and mission of Discovery Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • At least 2 years of experience as an executive assistant or similar role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and situations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software and tools quickly.
  • A positive, flexible, and solution-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to the values and goals of Discovery Trust.

Qualifications:

  • Evidence of good spoken and written English including grammar, punctuation and spelling, and a good standard of numeracy.
  • NVQ4 or equivalent level of qualification preferably in administration (though not essential).
  • Evidence of continued professional development
