Trinity Multi-Academy Trust is a family of primary, secondary and post-16 academies united by a simple vision: to make a positive difference to the lives of as many young people as possible. We believe every child can achieve something extraordinary, and with more than 8,500 young people across our schools, we have a strong and proud track record of helping schools make a lasting, positive difference to children, families and communities.

This is an exciting time to join Trinity. The trust is entering a new period of growth, including across our primary provision, and we are looking to appoint an Executive Principal (Primary) to play a central role on that journey. Working across both well-established Trinity academies and schools that have newly joined the trust, you will help build strong foundations, share what works and ensure every primary pupil benefits from the very best of Trinity.

It’s a rare opportunity for an ambitious primary leader to make an impact well beyond a single school, and to gain the breadth of experience that comes with leading in very different contexts.

We are now seeking an inspirational and experienced leader to lead and support our primary academies. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, as Executive Principal you will:

  • Strategically lead the direction and development of your designated academies, ensuring the trust’s vision is clearly articulated, shared and acted upon by all staff.
  • Lead, coach and hold to account Principals and senior leadership teams, raising standards and aspirations in every school.
  • Have overall responsibility for raising standards of pupil attainment and achievement, with high-quality teaching at the centre of strategic planning.
  • Support newly joining schools through their transfer into the trust, helping them to embed Trinity’s proven approaches and secure rapid, sustained improvement.
  • Broker collaboration across our primary academies, sharing best practice and building effective learning communities.
  • Work with trust leaders on the strategic development and growth of Trinity, including bids, plans and new initiatives.

About Trinity Multi Academy Trust

Type
Multi-academy trust

Trinity Multi Academy Trust is a Diocesan multi academy trust that is open to schools of all faiths and none. The trust is committed to working within a respectful and compassionate environment and exists to serve the students in its care. We encourage all schools within the trust to celebrate their distinctive identity, whilst actively supporting each other to share best practice and their commitment to continual improvement.

In 2010, when Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) opened in Calderdale, the plan was to address a decade of underperformance at secondary school level. Since then the academy has been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice. It has also established Trinity Institute of Education (formerly Trinity Teaching School Alliance) and the West Yorkshire Maths Hub, both of which have helped to raise pupil performance in hundreds of schools across the country.

In 2015 Trinity MAT was established. It now contains eleven academies covering from nursery stage through to post-16, including two brand new secondary schools which opened in September 2021. The MAT has seen numerous educational changes but one thing has remained constant; we know what works, and so we have formed a group of like-minded schools to make a positive difference on a wider scale.

Our people are key to our continued growth and success. There is a relentless focus on improving standards for all children and young people in our care. Working within the trust gives all staff the opportunity to work with some of the best practitioners and leaders, regardless of your location.

Our improvement strategies are based on clear systems and support, from our outstanding behaviour systems to regular teacher led CPD sessions, the trust recognises the value of empowering staff through quality weekly CPD, training and support. At the heart of our people strategies are the opportunities for staff at all levels to develop and progress their career.
