Extended Schools Worker job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended Schools Worker to join our team, supporting a diverse range of pupils with varying needs, including those identified with additional and complex needs this role is to support up to two children.
As an Extended Schools Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils in wraparound provision, delivering high-quality childcare and contribute to the holistic development of our pupils. You will work closely with other members of the support team. The post is grant funded for two years.
The successful candidate will:
Contribute to a calm, purposeful environment
Have a clear understanding of the role of a Extended Schools worker and experience in supporting children through play.
Have experience of working with a range of pupils, including those with additional needs.
Have the ability to adapt methods to support children during extended schools
Be proactive approach and ability to work under own initiative.
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the provision
Have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Have effective communication skills in standard English.
Be a positive role model with a calm and patient demeanor.
Have a sense of humour and the ability to build positive relationships with children
Actively promote and adhere to school policies.
