What skills and experience we're looking for
Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
Qualified Paediatric First Aider or willingness to undertake training.
Holds Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
Experience of working with children and young people (either paid or unpaid).
Knowledge of the purpose and role of play in supporting children’s growth and well-being
Understands the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children.
Understands the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety and Child Protection/Safeguarding.
Ability to inspire and motivate children in play.
Apply a relational approach to promoting positive behaviour so that children develop, learn, adapt and thrive.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to apply given instructions.
Ability to react calmly and quickly in an emergency.
Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences.
Ability to understand written information (for some roles this will involve a written test).
