What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a passionate teacher who believes in creating an enabling learning environment which stimulates our children to be inquisitive and expressive in their play? Are you looking for a fresh challenge? Want to be part of an ambitious school with a supportive team in a fantastic location? If this sounds like you, make the move to St Matthew's Church of England Primary and Nursery Academy.

We are seeking a new staff member for our EYFS class where high-quality provision for all is at the heart of what we do. We are looking for someone who has high expectations, creative flare and zest to bring learning to life for our Reception pupils. Using your strong pedagogy and philosophy for Early Years, you will skilfully and carefully match learning to children’s developmental needs. Developing a close working partnership with parents and Early Years staff will be central to your practice.

What the school offers its staff

St Matthew’s is a truly wonderful place to work, we are modern, spacious and well equipped, with children that are an absolute delight and an incredibly supportive community. Our staff team is one that is genuinely committed to leaving no stone unturned in order to fulfil our vision that: ‘Each and every child is able to let their light shine’. You will be joining a highly effective EYFS Team with a strong and very supportive team of leaders across the school. The school is part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 19 Church and Community Schools spanning three local authorities and providing a rich network of collaboration.

In joining St Matthew’s, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming staff team and a supportive community. You will have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills in an environment that has a strong focus on CPD whatever career stage you are at. As a Church of England school, you will be happy to support the Anglican ethos through our school values.
