Early Years Foundation Stage Lead

The Directors of St Cuthbert’s RC Academy Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our Trust team based at Endsleigh Holy Child VC Academy. This position is fixed term until 31st August 2027.

We require someone who:

Understands the role of an EYFS Lead practitioner and has the confidence, skills and enthusiasm to lead and inspire others.

Can lead the strategic development of EYFS across the school including the management of planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery

Is able to support and coach EYFS staff and teaching assistants whilst motivating and empowering others in line with the journey of school improvement.

Will coordinate key transitions into Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1

Will contribute to whole school improvement and understanding the ‘big picture’ of the needs across the school and community we serve.

Has a passion for teaching and learning that is seen through high-quality, creative classroom teaching and pupil engagement, as well as the ability to monitor teaching quality and pupil progress

Maintains accurate assessment records and contributes to school improvement priorities

Leads by example, inspiring others with their high expectations, and a tangible belief that all children can achieve, learn and inspire.

Is an advocate of positive behaviour management and understands the value of building relationships with all stakeholders.

Understands how to meet the various needs of our pupils; working alongside the SENDCO, DSL and external agencies to give the best support for our children, staff and families.

Can confidently analyse a variety of data to support school improvement actions and measure impact.

Thrives as the leader of a team, with a positive outlook, excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and a good sense of humour.

Will uphold our Catholic ethos and be an example of God’s love in our school and our community.
