What skills and experience we're looking for

Brookburn Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated class teacher to join our team.

The successful candidate will be creative and innovative in their approach to learning and someone who can demonstrate an excellent track record of consistently strong teaching leading to positive outcomes for pupils.

You will be a creative and highly motivated professional who has a very positive, ‘can do’ attitude.You will need to be committed to achieving the very best for our children working in a diverse suburban community.

You must have strong inclusive practices and have high expectations for all learners. We are looking for a teacher who is highly collaborative and has a strong commitment to improving outcomes for our diverse range of pupils. We are also looking for a teacher who demonstrates a commitment to their own professional learning and growth, and who is eager and keen to take on new challenges and opportunities that arise.

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) unit consists of a 39 place nursery and a 60 place Reception

Brookburn Primary School is located in Chorlton, Manchester and is part of LINK Learning Trust. Barlow Hall Primary School is the other school in LINK Learning Trust. We are a two form entry primary school and currently have 433 children on roll. This includes a 39 place nursery. Approximately a third of our school population come from ethnic minority backgrounds with about 7% of our children having English as an additional language. Approximately 10% of our children are identified as vulnerable learners and 9% of children are eligible for pupil premium funding. The majority of our vulnerable children are or have been previously looked after and therefore inclusive practice and fostering a strong sense of belonging is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that relationships are key to the successful inclusion of all.
