EYFS Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our fabulous school from September 2024 working in Early Years. The role is working one-to-one with an individual child and / or with small groups. We are interested in applicants who have experience of either working in a school or nursery. This will initially be on a fixed term basis until August 2025 however with the potential of being extended further.

We are looking to appoint individuals who:

  • can establish rapport, respectful, good communicator, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • is flexible in their working times in order to cater for children's needs
  • is able to prepare, maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/learning activity and assist pupils in their use.
  • can promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils by encouraging them to interact with each other and to engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • is committed to the nurturing of all children
  • has high expectations of children's attaintment and behaviour

Shibden Head is one of three schools serving the village of Queensbury, on the outskirts of
Bradford. Queensbury is one of the highest parishes in England, with views to the hills of Brontë
