Facilities and Compliance Manager job summary
Cambrian Learning Trust are seeking to appoint an experienced Facilities and Compliance Manager to join our Central Trust Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our schools to support them to fulfil their legal duties and ensure facilities and health and safety are managed consistently with the ethos and vision of the Trust. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting and monitoring of compliance activities, in addition to managing central contracts, services and capital projects, with the aim of delivering quality outcomes and value for money in a busy and varied role.
Ideally educated to degree level or with a relevant qualification /chartered membership, we are looking for a candidate with a proactive, solutions focussed approach, who has:
- Demonstratable experience within facilities management across multiple sites;
- Excellent understanding of Health and Safety principles with previous responsibility for ensuring H&S business compliance;
- Contracts and project management experience with prior involvement of both the strategic tender process ensuring best for value for money, as well as operational delivery and quality of provision;
- A background or willingness to undertake and advise on effective procurement processes;
- An aptitude for managing professional contractor services and stakeholder relationships; and
- A vision and commitment to developing an organisational culture in which health and safety is prioritised and informs strategy, planning and decision making
Note that all of our current schools are within a circa 40-minute drive of each other [Faringdon, Wantage, Abingdon] and there will be a requirement for the post holder to travel between sites.
