We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and professional Family Liaison Officer to work closely with families, pupils and staff to promote excellent attendance, engagement and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting families to overcome barriers to attendance, building positive home–school relationships and ensuring every pupil can access their education consistently and successfully.

We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You should be able to manage sensitive information with discretion, work proactively using your own initiative and build trust and rapport with a range of stakeholders. A real passion for improving students' life chances is imperative in this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the monitoring of attendance, analysing data, implementing attendance strategies and supporting families through early help and intervention. The role also involves signposting parents to appropriate external agencies and support services, and working in partnership with outside professionals such as the BCP Attendance Team, health and social care teams, and other community-based organisations.
