Be part of something life changing.

For our students and for you.

We are looking for a Family Liaison Officer to join our team.

At SCA, attendance is more than a number. It is the gateway to opportunity, belonging and lifelong success.

Thanks to the relentless commitment of our staff, students and families, attendance across the academy has improved significantly. But we're not finished yet. Following the retirement of our current inspiration Family Liaison Officer, we're now looking for a new Family Liaison Officer to help us continue that journey - someone who refuses to accept that circumstances should define a child's future.

This is not a desk-based administrative role. It is a role for someone who thrives on building relationships, solving complex problems and making a tangible difference every single day.

We believe there are no problems - only solutions. We're looking for someone who shares that mindset and is willing to support our drive to achieve the Leading Parent Partnership award.

About the role:

The Family Liaison Officer will work alongside students, parents, carers, colleagues and external agencies to identify and remove the barriers preventing young people from attending school. You'll celebrate success, provide practical support, challenge where necessary and ensure every family understands that education changes lives.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with young people in a secondary educational setting and working with children and families and be able to communicate with a wide range of professionals.

About us:

Following its most recent Ofsted inspection in April 2026, Sutton Community Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering a high-quality education at the heart of its community. Inspectors recognised the academy’s ambitious leadership, inclusive culture and unwavering focus on ensuring every student is known, valued and supported to succeed. The report highlights the positive relationships between staff and students, the strong culture of safeguarding, and the high expectations that underpin behaviour and learning across the academy.

We are proud of our nurturing and aspirational environment, where students benefit from a broad curriculum, effective pastoral support and a wide range of personal development opportunities. Ofsted acknowledged the academy’s continued improvement journey, noting the dedication of staff and leaders in creating a school where pupils feel safe, respected and motivated to achieve their potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking academy that is transforming lives and making a meaningful difference to its local community.

About Academy Transformation Trust:

Our ATT2030 Vision means we meet our young people where they are at and refuse to leave them there. Our pupils will leave us capable, competent and confident and take their place in the community of educated people. Our staff will be cared for, developed and they do will be capable, competent and confident. We would love to hear from those who want to join us in that mission.

In Return:

If you have what it takes, you can join an experienced, innovative Academy with incredible potential and you can look forward to:

  • An amazing people development offer through our ATT Institute providing you with continuous self-development.
  • A comprehensive package of benefits via our Viv-Up staff benefits platform. You will enjoy a generous pension scheme, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance program.
  • The chance to progress your career

We are an open school and proud of what we do - visits are welcome.
