Great Yarmouth Primary Academy is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Family Support Advisor to be the first point of contact for our families, working with parents, carers, and students to ensure the highest levels of pastoral and academic support. The role involves being an Alternate Designated Safeguarding Lead and you will be required to attend multi agency meetings in line with this.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • To lead on safeguarding across the academy and be a named designated safeguard lead.
  • Develop, maintain and be the specific point of contact for outside agencies to ensure ongoing effective partnership relationships.
  • To identify students at risk and liaise effectively with the SLT to ensure that pupil safeguarding needs are addressed as required.
  • Line management responsibilities as directed by the Principal.
  • Ensure that pupil safeguarding needs are addressed as required.
  • Lead on the analysis of performance data for areas within this remit and generate reports and commentaries as required for various stakeholders.
  • Commit to embedding equality, diversity and inclusion in all activities.


About You:

You will have recent experience of working with families and professionals in a child-focused way, have experience of safeguarding and show a commitment to professional growth, feedback, and personal development.


Essential:

  • Minimum GCSE English and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent
  • Current safeguarding in education for Designated Safeguarding Leads training
  • Experience of multi-agency working
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • ICT skills


Desirable:

  • Experience of policy development
