Family & Teacher Support Worker job summary
Spring Lane Primary School is a vibrant two-form entry primary school located in Northampton. We belong to Campfire Education Trust, amongst five other primary schools. Our children are central to the ethos of the school which is at the heart of our rich and diverse community.
The relationships between staff, children and parents are integral to the success of the school. Steeped in history, Spring Lane Primary has character in abundance and children quickly develop a true sense of belonging when they start at the school. Our children are confident, independent and incredibly welcoming - it is a very happy place to be.
We are relentless in driving standards to improve outcomes. We firmly believe that strong values underpin the culture of the school and our vision is that children leave our school, with high aspirations and the foundations in knowledge and skills to build upon in the next stage of education. There is a strong belief held with all staff that there should be no ceilings on children’s’ ambitions.
We are very lucky to have an incredible community around the school, who work tirelessly to support our children.
First and foremost, we have our families, many of whom have had children attend the school for many years, who see the school as the true centre of the community and as a place of positivity. Parents support us in key elements of the school such as the school uniform policy, the behaviour policy and the attendance policy. Spring Lane also has close links with the church and schools in the local area.
Our broad and balanced curriculum is designed to inspire our young learners, developing a natural curiosity.
We aim to give our children rich and inspiring experiences that reflect what our children need, in order to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world. Furthermore, our curriculum gives children the opportunity to showcase their talents beyond the core subjects. We have specialist teachers in art and sport, giving all children the opportunity to attend many sporting competitions and art celebrations.
Not only do we have a range of clubs led by the staff (such as gardening club and cooking club), we also have extended services on site for parents who require wraparound care for their children. ‘Happy Hols’ breakfast club is from 7:30am and afterschool club until 5.45pm.
Please see the attached job description and person specification.
