About the role:
Due to our current Federation SENCO retiring, Atherstone and Bedworth Heath Maintained Nursery School Federation Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated SENCO who will share our vision for providing outstanding teaching and learning opportunities to our nursery community and offering outstanding parent/carer family support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of provision made by the Federation for pupils with SEND and provide professional guidance in the area of SEND, in order to secure high quality teaching and learning and the effective use of resources to bring about improved standards of achievement for all pupils.
The successful candidate will become part of the senior leadership team who work collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of the federation – with wellbeing at the core.
We are able to offer outstanding Early Years CPD, SEND training and a supportive and experienced staff team and an ethos that values staff wellbeing. The successful candidate will be supported to complete the special educational needs co-ordinator’s (SENCO) national professional qualification, as part of the role if the national awarded for special educational needs is not already held. Time will be given for study time towards the qualification and networking opportunities with local SENCOS.
Key Requirements:

The role may suit somebody who wants to continue or grow their leadership role within a supportive team. The candidate would have experience with working with children with SEND, working closely with families and working with wider professionals. The Head of School will work with the Executive Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team, Nursery Lead Teachers, Staff team, Parents/Carers, Governors and the LA, as appropriate, to maintain and improve provision and outcomes for pupils, volunteers and students across the Federation.
