Finance Assistant job summary

Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same?

Do you thrive in a busy environment, enjoy working with people and have a keen eye for organisation and detail? If so, we would love to hear from you.

At Pinvin Church of England Academy, our school office sits at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our friendly team and play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our school. This role combines financial administration, office management and personal assistant responsibilities, providing direct support to the Headteacher and staff team whilst helping to ensure the very best outcomes for our children.

Pinvin is a welcoming and inclusive village school with a strong Christian ethos, where every person is valued and every child is encouraged to flourish academically, socially and spiritually. Our staff work collaboratively, support one another and are united by a shared commitment to providing an exceptional education for the children and families we serve.

As a key member of our team, you will be the friendly face that greets visitors, the reassuring voice on the telephone, and a trusted administrative and financial support for the school. From managing financial processes and supporting school trips to maintaining records, liaising with parents and assisting the Headteacher, you will make a genuine difference every day.

We are looking for someone who is professional, organised, approachable and able to maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate will share our values, enjoy building positive relationships with children and adults alike, and take pride in delivering a high-quality service to our school community.

In return, we offer:

  • The opportunity to work in a caring and supportive school community.
  • Friendly, dedicated colleagues who value teamwork and collaboration.
  • A varied and fulfilling role with opportunities to develop new skills.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • The chance to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of children and families.

If you are passionate about providing excellent administrative and financial support and would like to be part of a school where children, staff and families are truly valued, we would be delighted to receive your application.

Come and be part of something special at Pinvin Church of England Academy, where every person matters and every child can thrive.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged. Please contact the school office on 01386 554196 or email office@pinvin.dowmat.education to arrange this.
