Finance Business Partner job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our experienced finance team and help shape the future of our department and deliver a first-class finance service to our schools. You will be an experienced and confident finance business partner who understands the importance of developing professional relationships to improve financial performance. The role will be challenging and is vital in transforming our schools so that they are financially sustainable. The applicant will be able to work under pressure, be able to prioritise and be flexible in supporting the Head of Finance. Experience of implementing change is key as all our schools are on a journey of academisation and we are looking for somebody who is transformational and committed to our trust vision. Operational responsibilities include monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasting, cashflow management, VAT returns and finance support to our schools. Career progression is encouraged, and the Head of Finance is committed to developing, coaching and mentoring the team

The Finance Business Partner will provide high-quality financial business partnering and professional financial support to the Trust and its schools, contributing to the effective management of resources and the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation. The postholder will work closely with school leaders and key stakeholders to support informed decision-making, drive financial performance and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

The role will support the delivery of the Trust's strategic objectives by promoting best practice in financial management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting organisational change as the Trust continues to grow and develop. The postholder will build effective professional relationships across the Trust and provide proactive advice and challenge to help maximise the impact of available resources in achieving excellent educational outcomes.
