Finance Manager job summary

You will be working as part of a supportive finance team to assist our schools in managing their finances, completing budgets, and monthly accounts across the various secondary schools.

The role will report to the Head of secondary finance business partnering and work in partnership with the schools’ financial controller, business manager, headteacher and finance teams to ensure the effective management of the schools’ finances and secure financial stability, in accordance with the Trust financial procedures.

The role will have an initial placement at the Cherwell school for approximately 3 days and could be extended to the another school for another 2 days to make it a full-time role. Part time options will also be considered with a reduced scope. You will have the chance to continue to grow and gain experience within a highly successful and experienced Finance team.

What skills / experience are required

The successful candidate will:

  • Be qualified to at least CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CIPFA, AAT level 4 level or experienced at this level

  • Have previous relevant experience of financial management

  • Experience in finance within the education sector is desirable.

  • Have experience of using accounting and finance software
