FINANCE OFFICER at HATTON PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL

Required as soon as possible

This is a permanent, part time post (25 hours per week) - 40 weeks per year (term-time only plus 10 days (pro-rata) to be worked during the school holidays)

Salary: Meridian Trust Scale 6, Points 7-12 (£15,228 - £16,494 Actual Salary)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient and well-organised Finance Officer to join our friendly, supportive team at Hatton Park Primary School. The role will be busy, varied and responsible as you will be undertaking the day-to-day finance administration for the school. This will include managing and processing orders; payment of invoices, school trip monies and liaising with suppliers as well as payroll, day-to-day accounts and reconciliation. You will work closely with the Headteacher and you will be supported in your role by the core finance team namely the Trust Accountant.

The ideal candidate:

  • Good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
  • Experience working in an administrative or accounting environment.
  • Understanding of general accounting procedures and processes
  • Competent IT user - Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Possess the ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines effectively whilst maintaining high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise, communicate and contribute effectively
  • Is committed, reliable and has excellent professional standards
