Office Assistant job summary
A vacancy has come up for an enthusiastic and reliable Office Assistant to work as part of our friendly office team.
You will be responsible for dealing with pupils, parents, staff and visitors at the busy start to the school day. Duties will include responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and email; using our school MIS (we have recently moved to Bromcom) and other school software; ensuring our procedures for visitors are followed; control of our stock of first aid materials, and delivering first aid, for which training will be given.
You will have a friendly and helpful outlook, possess the ability to be a team player as well as working on your own initiative. Excellent customer services skills, including good communication and a flexible approach, is vital to the success of this role. You will be confident when using computers and a variety of computer based systems, and have a good standard of written English.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent team work, organisation and attention to detail. They will need to have a friendly, flexible “hands on” approach and the ability to relate confidently and appropriately with all users of the school.
The post is term time only, and the hours of work will be 8.30 to 1.30 every day.
Brampton is a large primary school with over 600 pupils and has a supportive staff and is a valued part of the local community.
