What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our office team. Applicants should have excellent numeracy, IT and communication skills and experience of working in a school or finance environment would be an advantage, as would a knowledge of using the Sage accounting package. You will work closely with (and report to) the School Business Manager.
You will be an integral part of the school, responsible for ensuring high standards of financial integrity. You will have responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration including:
- Raising purchase orders and placings orders for goods and services, checking deliveries.
- Maintaining the school’s stationery stock, including annual exercise book order and termly test papers.
- Processing invoices and prepare payment runs for authorisation.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Performing banking duties i.e. deposits, withdrawals
We are looking for a highly organised and committed person with an ability to work under pressure, working closely with all staffing groups in the school and provide efficient communication with our suppliers and contractors.
