Severn Academies Educational Trust (SAET) central team has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed individual to join our Trust as a Finance Officer.
As an integral member of the trust central team, the Finance Officer will work closely with the wider finance department to support the day-to-day financial operations across the Trust, ensuring alignment with the ethos and values of Severn Academies Educational Trust. The postholder will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency, providing high-quality administrative and transactional support that enables the effective delivery of the Trust’s core aims.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, good numeracy skills, and an understanding of basic financial processes. You should be highly organised, comfortable working with financial software, and possess excellent communication skills.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our finance team and support the future of our schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing of purchase invoices, sales invoices and purchase orders
- Supporting reconciliation tasks and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assisting with the Trust payment processes and monitoring of Trust Bank Accounts.
- Responding to routine financial queries from schools within the Trust and external suppliers.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports and data entry.
